The Broken Javelin June Update

We’re making progress! Cover and editing updates, and some planning for the launch.

To be totally honest, the weather has been incredible all month so the editing has hit a bit of a slowdown. But on the positive side I’m committed to at least a chapter of editing per night, so we’ve made some progress – 15% done as of the end of June.

And more importantly, by some measures, the cover for the ebook is done! I’ll do a reveal when we get closer to launch, but I’m pretty happy with it. I’ll have to go back and have another version done for the paperback version of the book, because I need to know the final page count before the spine can be done and we have some editing left to do. But it’s progress!

This republishing journey hasn’t been the easiest – it feels like I’ve been writing or editing this book for years now, which I guess I have. But I’m enjoying the story a lot, and that’s probably the only thing that matters at this point. I want to publish a story I’d like to read, and if I can do that I’ll be successful. Plus I’ll finally have a nice snazzy paperback on my shelf!

Cheers,

Perrin
